De'Von Achane
RB - MIA
De'Von Achane rushed for 203 yards on 18 carries in the Dolphins' 70-20 win over the Broncos on Sunday. He also caught four of four targets for an additional 30 receiving yards. Furthermore, the rookie scored four total touchdowns.
Fantasy Impact
In just his second career game, Achane had one of the most impressive performances in recent memory. While his insane Week 3 will be nearly impossible to replicate, especially as he remains behind Raheem Mostert on the depth chart, the rookie is a must-add in all fantasy leagues and could be a solid RB3/FLEX play in Week 4. The Dolphins face the Bills next Sunday.
In the Dolphins' Week 2 triumph over the Patriots, De'Von Achane had a modest showing, contributing a total of 9 yards from scrimmage.
Fantasy Impact
The 21-year-old rookie running back had a single carry for 5 yards and caught his only target for 4 yards. Despite the Dolphins' 24-17 victory, Achane's limited involvement in the offense resulted in a quiet fantasy day, keeping him at RB52 for the week and RB69 for the season. His lone carry came in the third quarter, where he rushed left tackle for 5 yards before being tackled. His only reception also came in the third, a short right pass from Tua Tagovailoa, which he took for 4 yards before being brought down. Looking ahead, Achane and the Dolphins will face the Denver Broncos in Week 3, where he'll look to increase his involvement and climb the fantasy rankings. Fantasy managers should expect Raheem Mostert to continue to carry the load for the Dolphins moving forward.
De'Von Achane (shoulder) was a full participant in practice on Wednesday.
Fantasy Impact
Achane is on track to be healthy for Week 2 versus the Patriots. However, that was also the case in Week 1 and Miami still decided to make him inactive so that he could have more time to get back to full speed after missing a significant portion of the preseason due to injury. Even if Achane does make his NFL debut Sunday, he'll likely be third on the depth chart behind Raheem Mostert and Salvon Ahmed.
De’Von Achane is officially inactive for Miami’s Week 1 matchup against the Chargers.
Fantasy Impact
Achane has been recovering from a shoulder injury and, as expected, is not active Week1. Raheem Mostert and Salvon Ahmed will handle the rock for the Dolphins in Week 1 as the diminutive back out of Texas A&M will have to wait until at least Week 2 to make his NFL debut. Managers who currently roster Achane may have to waste a roster spot to retain him as some websites have him as NA and not OUT, so manage your rosters accordingly.
De'Von Achane is expected to be inactive Week 1 after dealing with a shoulder injury.
Fantasy Impact
Achane was a third-round draft pick and is a fast, patient runner, which should fit well in the Dolphins’ offense. He ran for 1,102 yards on the ground, averaging 5.6 yards per carry in his last full season at Texas A&M. Raheem Mostert and Salvon Ahmed will carry the load in Miami’s game against San Diego.
