Ed Oliver
DT - BUF
Week 13 Outlook
Ed Oliver has been ruled out for Sunday's game against the Patriots.
Fantasy Impact
Oliver missed practice all week, so it was expected he would be ruled out. He did not have the injury designation in practice last week, so he likely picked up the injury last Sunday against the Giants.
According to Adam Schefter of ESPN, the Buffalo Bills are giving former first-round DT Ed Oliver a four-year extension.
Fantasy Impact
Oliver saw his fifth-year option exercised in 2022; now, he is getting an extension in 2023 that will keep him under contract through 2027 when he is 30. According to PFF, Oliver has averaged over 30 pressures and 20 run stops per season since entering the league. Oliver gets his big payday that will make him a free agent potentially right in time for one more large paycheck.
Ed Oliver (ankle) was limited in practice this week and is officially listed as questionable for Week 5 against the Steelers.
Fantasy Impact
Oliver hasn't played since Week 1 when he registered just 17 percent of defensive snaps before exiting. If the 24-year-old can't suit up Sunday, Brandin Bryant would be in line for more work.
Buffalo Bills defensive tackle Ed Oliver was limited in Wednesday's practice due to an ankle injury.
Fantasy Impact
Oliver logged limited practices all of last week before ultimately being ruled out, so the early week practice does not necessarily mean that he is on track for a Week 4 return. Oliver is a key piece of one of the NFL's best defenses, so a return for this weekend's tilt against Baltimore would be welcomed news. Oliver is a DT2/DL3 option for fantasy purposes when healthy but should remain on benches until he is back to his regular snap count.
Ed Oliver (ankle) remained limited in practice on Friday and has been ruled out for Week 3 against the Miami Dolphins.
Fantasy Impact
Although it was good to see Oliver practice in some capacity, he won't be ready to go for Sunday's game against Miami. The talented defender hasn't played since Week 1 when he registered two tackles before exiting early.
