Evan Royster
RB -
Week 2 Outlook
The Falcons have agreed to terms with free-agent RB Evan Royster, formerly of the Redskins. The terms of the contract were not disclosed.
Fantasy Impact
Having played under offensive coordinator Kyle Shanahan in Washington, Royster was brought in simply as a roster filler in case of longterm injuries to Tevin Coleman and Devonta Freeman, who have both had hamstring issues in camp. Royster knows the playbook and yet still is a question mark if he even makes the team. Stay posted on the Falcons RB situation.
RB Evan Royster was released by the Redskins on Saturday. Royster was clearly running in last place on the RB depth chart.
Fantasy Impact
Royster has very little upside and is now without a team. Continue to avoid him in fantasy play.
Redskins RB Evan Royster scored on a carry from goal line formation but also got some reps in third-down situations against Cleveland.
Fantasy Impact
Redskins coaches appear to be taking a close look at Royster, and possibly a last look. Royster would appear to be an odd man out in a RB competition against Lache Seastrunk, Silas Redd and Chris Thompson.
Evan Royster returned to training camp today after missing the last three practices with a strained hamstring.
Fantasy Impact
The injury has certainly not helped Royster's chances at securing the vacant third down back job. He now finds himself on the outside looking in for that role, behind Chris Thompson and Lache Seastrunk, and is now competing merely for a roster spot. At this point and time, he has little-to-no fantasy value in the deepest of leagues.
