CB - CLE
Week 3 Outlook
Cleveland Browns cornerback Greedy Williams has been ruled out for Thursday Night Football against the Cincinnati Bengals.
Greedy will miss his second consecutive game. The secondary was dismantled by an efficient Lamar Jackson who completed 11 of his 13 attempts that traveled 10 or more yards downfield. Kevin Johnson has also been ruled out for Thursday Night Football. Joe Burrow is set up well for success if he avoids testing Denzel Ward too often.
Browns CB Greedy Williams (shoulder) will miss Week 1 against the Ravens.
It's a blow to Cleveland's secondary as they try and slow down Lamar Jackson and the Baltimore offense.
CB Greedy Williams (shoulder) doesn't practice on Thursday.
Williams hasn't practiced since injuring his shoulder during camp on August 24th. He has done some conditioning and worked on the side with other injured players. Terrance Mitchell will get the start if Williams is ruled out Week 1.
Second-year cornerback Greedy Williams hurt his shoulder on Monday. Head coach Kevin Stefanski was asked if Williams would miss a significant amount of time due to the injury, and he said he wasn't sure yet, but did not rule it out.
Williams is in place to start across from Denzel Ward, so it'll be another big hit to this secondary if forced to miss time. The AFC North is loaded, and Williams will play a big part in Cleveland's defensive success.
Greedy Williams (hamstring) is listed as inactive for the Week 6 games against the Seahawks.
Russell Wilson should be in-line for a great game will Williams and fellow CB Denzel Ward sitting out on Sunday. The Browns will be looking at Terrance Mitchell and TJ Carrie to step up for the team in their place.
