RB - KC - OUT
Week 14 Outlook
Kansas City Chiefs RB Isiah Pacheco, who is dealing with a shoulder injury, has been ruled out of Sunday's Week 14 contest with the Buffalo Bills.
Pacheco did not practice all week as a result of his shoulder ailment, and thus he will not play on Sunday. In his place, the Chiefs will likely turn to RB Jerick McKinnon (who was limited Wednesday but full on Thursday) and Clyde Edwards-Helaire. It's also possible they call up a practice squad RB for depth like La'Mical Perine, Deneric Prince or the recently added Keaontay Ingram.
Chiefs RB Isiah Pacheco (shoulder) was absent from practice Friday.
This marks the third straight day that Pacheco has not taken the practice field ahead of Sunday’s matchup with the Bills. At this point, it appears that Pacheco will likely be out Sunday. Clyde Edwards-Helaire would likely assume the bulk of the carries, with Jerick McKinnon mixing in on third-down.
Isiah Pacheco was sidelined at practice on Thursday.
It is the second straight missed practice for Pacheco. He will likely have to practice in some form on Friday to have a good chance of playing on Sunday against the Bills.
Isiah Pacheco rushed for 110 yards and one touchdown on 18 carries during the Chiefs' 27-19 loss to the Packers in Week 13. He also caught three of four targets for an additional 13 yards through the air.
The 2023 Chiefs have found a new identity as a run-heavy team, feeding Pacheco 68 touches over their last four games. He's been impressive on the ground and will remain a strong RB2 option as long as he stays healthy. The Chiefs face the Bills next week.
Isiah Pacheco rushed for 55 yards and two touchdowns on 15 carries in the Chiefs’ 31-17 win over the Raiders. He also caught 5-of-5 targets for 34 yards.
Pacheco continues to run hard and scored a pair of touchdowns from the one-yard line. The 24-year-old running back continues to see the bulk of the work out of the Chiefs backfield, but did see a bump in targets with Jerick McKinnon out of the lineup. Pacheco remains a solid starting option against the Packers in Week 13.
