Jake Fromm
QB - BUF
The Buffalo Bills have selected quarterback Jake Fromm with the No. 167 overall pick in the 2020 NFL Draft.
Fantasy Impact
Fromm finally hears his name called in the fifth round of the Draft as he goes 167th overall to the Buffalo Bills. A three-year starter at Georgia, Fromm went 621of 982 for 8,224 passing yards and 78 touchdowns, while only throwing 18 interceptions. A very solid player with a lot of ability, Fromm is a safe selection for the Bills, and projects as the backup quarterback to Josh Allen.
According to Tom Pelissero, there have been four scouts and coaches from different teams that have compared quarterback prospect Jake Fromm to journeyman back-up Chase Daniels.
Fantasy Impact
One quarterback coach stated that he is not sold on Fromm’s arm strength, size and athleticism but liked his decision making. Fromm is being projected as a third or fourth round NFL draft selection next week. For upcoming deep super-flex dynasty rookie fantasy drafts, Fromm should be targeted in the late third to early fourth rounds.
NFL Network's Ian Rapoport reports Jake Fromm has become a "favorite" of quarterback coaches around the league.
Fantasy Impact
Coaches are likely drawn to Fromm due to his intangibles, intelligence, and turnover-free mindset. However, he isn't the most athletic quarterback and will likely enter his career as a backup. Expect to see his name called on day three of the NFL draft (rounds 4-7).
Georgia junior quarterback Jake Fromm has declared for the 2020 NFL Draft.
Fantasy Impact
While Fromm took a step back at Georgia this season based on preseason expectations, he's still going to enter the 2020 NFL Draft. He's considered one of the better quarterback prospects in the upcoming draft. He will be someone to monitor in dynasty leagues, specifically 2QB leagues, depending on his landing spot.
