Jeremy McNichols
RB - FA
2023 Outlook
The Pittsburgh Steelers have signed RB Jeremy McNichols to a one-year contract.
Fantasy Impact
The 26-year-old out of Boise State played five years with four different teams, appearing in 34 games and accumulating 364 yards rushing, 295 yards receiving, and two combined touchdowns. He will join a crowded backfield fighting for playing time behind elite RB Najee Harris. Until we see how training camp breaks down, McNichols lacks fantasy value.
The Atlanta Falcons announced on Thursday that veteran RB Jeremy McNichols has signed with the team.
Fantasy Impact
McNichols, who most recently played for the Tennessee Titans, is joining his 5th team while entering his 6th NFL season. McNichols has ties to current Falcons HC Arthur Smith who was the Titans offensive coordinator in 2020 while McNichols was a member of that team. McNichols was a 5th-round pick out of Boise State in 2017 and he has been an effective receiving option out of the backfield during his NFL career. McNichols will join a crowded RB room in Atlanta that currently rosters veterans Cordarralle Patterson, Damien Williams, Qadree Ollison, and rookie Tyler Allgeier. It’s unclear how the team's RB rotation might work during the regular season, so this will be a backfield to monitor during training camp, but McNichols isn’t likely to be anything more than a change of pace back or part of a committee at best.
Jeremy McNichols rushed two times for 14 yards on Sunday afternoon as the Titans defeated the Dolphins by a 34-3 score in Week 17 action.
Fantasy Impact
McNichols failed to see much action on Sunday as he fell down the depth chart behind D'Onta Foreman and Dontrell Hilliard. The 26-year-old running back can be left on the waiver wire in most fantasy formats.
Jeremy McNichols recorded seven rushes for 31 yards and failed to catch his only target on Thursday night as the Titans defeated the 49ers by a 20-17 score in Week 16 action.
Fantasy Impact
McNichols was in a three-man committee at running back on Thursday with D'Onta Foreman and Dontrell Hilliard but was able to lead the team in rushing yards. Unless he sees more action, McNichols is only worth rostering in deeper fantasy leagues.
Jeremy McNichols rushed six times for 26 yards and caught all three of his targets for an additional 25 yards on Sunday afternoon as the Titans lost to the Steelers by a 19-13 score in Week 15 action.
Fantasy Impact
McNichols is splitting time with Dontrell Hilliard as the second back behind D'Onta Foreman who has taken over the lead role. McNichols has not done much to move up the depth chart and can be left on the waiver wire in fantasy leagues.
