John Simon signs with Titans

The Titans took to social media to announce they had agreed to terms with veteran edge rusher John Simon.

Fantasy Impact

Though last season Simon had one of his best seasons in quite sometime, he will likely be just a rotational depth piece. A solid signing for the Titans defense who allowed the fourth most yards per game. While having the third least sacks last year with just 19.

John Simon gets released by the Colts

Colts released OLB John Simon on Saturday.

Fantasy Impact

The Colts should save 3.3 million with the release so this may be financially motivated. Simon was dealing with neck issues last season as well as this preseason but shouldn't stop him from being on the field this year. If Simon ends up in the right situation he could have IDP fantasy value.

John Simon listed as day-to-day

The Indianapolis Colts got some good news Sunday as a scan revealed nothing serious with the neck injury that caused defensive end John Simon to exit the club's third preseason game. Simon missed seven games last year with a different neck injury and had also missed some training camp practice time with hamstring and groin ailments. Simon is listed as day-to-day but won't play in the Colts' final preseason tilt in Cincinnati.

Fantasy Impact

Simon is moving from outside linebacker to defensive end and could use these preseason reps. He'll open the season as a situational pass rusher behind Jabaal Sheard and Margus Hunt.

John Simon has huge breakout game

John Simon recorded a sack, a pass defended & an interception returned for a touchdown with 11 total tackles in the Colts' loss to the Titans.

Fantasy Impact

The biggest game of Simon's five year career. Simon's pick-six was the first interception of his career. Simon also recorded a career high 11 total tackles.
