Joshua Kelley
RB - LAC
2023 Outlook
Joshua Kelley rushed for 24 yards and a touchdown on 10 carries, adding a 7-yard reception in Sunday's win against the Tennessee Titans.
Fantasy Impact
Kelley surprisingly saw a lot of work in Sunday's matchup, particularly on the Chargers' first offensive drive of the game. On a first-and-goal situation at the Titans' 4-yard line, Kelley got the ball three times in a row, eventually finding pay dirt on a 1-yard TD. He is a valuable handcuff to roster down the home stretch, as Isaiah Spiller has been completely phased out of the offense. If Ekeler were to get hurt in the next two weeks, Kelley would step into an RB2 role.
Joshua Kelley ran for 29 yards on four carries, adding six yards in the air on one catch in Sunday night's win against Miami.
Fantasy Impact
Kelley took a backseat to Austin Ekeler as expected, but did look good on the few opportunities he had, including a 22-yard run. He has clearly solidified his role as the backup RB, but is nothing more than a handcuff.
Joshua Kelley rushed for 30 yards on seven carries in Sunday's loss to the Las Vegas Raiders.
Fantasy Impact
Kelley is back and healthy after a stint on IR, and he was the only other RB aside from Austin Ekeler who saw work out of the backfield on Sunday. Kelley is the clear backup to Ekeler, surpassing rookie Isaiah Spiller. Fantasy managers who rely on Ekeler might want to stash Kelley with the fantasy playoffs fast approaching.
Joshua Kelley was activated off injured reserve Saturday.
Fantasy Impact
Kelley has not played since early October after suffering a MCL sprain. He will provide the Chargers with another option in the backfield behind starter Austin Ekeler. Fantasy managers should leave Kelley on waivers for now.
Joshua Kelley (knee) has been placed on Injured Reserve. WR Michael Bandy has been added to the Chargers' active roster.
Fantasy Impact
Kelley had already been ruled out for week 7 after leaving week 6's game early, but now it seems that his injury is going to warrant a trip to the IR. He will be out for a minimum of 4 weeks. Sony Michel and Isaiah Spiller will be next in line for playing time behind Austin Ekeler.
