This Week Outlook
Rams' K Kai Forbath (ankle) has been placed on Injured Reserve, per source.
Forbath was signed by the Rams in October to relieve rookie K Sam Sloman. Forbath has converted two of three field goal attempts in two games for L.A. and will be replaced by either Matt Gay or Austin MacGinnis.
Kai Forbath connected on a 23-yard field goal and chipped in 2-of-3 extra points during the Rams' 23-16 victory over the Seahawks.
Forbath did a nice job outside of missing an extra point but lack of volume will seemingly present a problem for any Rams' kicker. He will be a streaming option against the Buccaneers in Week 11.
Kai Forbath hit 1-of-2 field goals and chipped in both of his extra points in his Rams' debut, losing to the Dolphins 17-28.
Forbath didn't make any mistakes until the fourth quarter where his missed a 48-yard field goal with just under four minutes to go that would have made it a one possession game. Not the best debut for 33-year-old kicker, though the Rams' likely won't make any drastic decisions heading into their bye.
The Los Angeles Rams have signed former Dallas, Washington, and Minnesota K Kai Forbath.
Forbath was cut earlier in the season by the Cowboys. He’ll come in and compete with rookie Sam Sloman, who has now missed a kick (either field goal or PAT) in five of six games this season.
Kicker Kai Forbath has been released by the Dallas Cowboys. Long-time former LA Rams Kicker Greg Zuerlein takes over the starting job in Dallas.
It’ll be Zuerlein’s job in Jerry World now that Kobra Kai is out of the picture. This will be Zuerlein’s first season kicking for a team not named the Rams. He should get a ton of opportunities on a high-powered offense. He’ll also be spending half his games kicking in a dome. Zuerlein should post top-5 numbers at the Kicker position this season.
