K.J. Osborn catches two passes in Week 2 defeat

K.J. Osborn caught two passes for 25 yards during Minnesota's 24-7 loss to Philadelphia.

Fantasy Impact

The Eagles' defense shut down every facet of the Vikings' offense, including holding Kirk Cousins to only 221 yards passing. Through two weeks, Osborn has not seen many targets, making him a difficult player to start in all but the deepest of leagues with multiple flex positions. However, if roster limitations prevent you from having better options, Osborn could see an increased number of targets in what should be a high-scoring Week 3 game against the Lions.

K.J. Osborn quiet in Week 1 win over Packers

K.J. Osborn hauled in three of four targets for 14 receiving yards in the Vikings' 23-7 win over the Packers.

Fantasy Impact

Osborn made the most of his limited volume Sunday in a passing offense that kept Justin Jefferson involved as the focal point Sunday. Osborn will look to become more involved in a Week 2 Monday night matchup against the Philadelphia Eagles, likely slotting in as a low-end WR3/high-end WR4 at best as wide receivers Justin Jefferson and Adam Thielen figure to get targeted first by QB Kirk Cousins.

K.J. Osborn sits out second preseason game

K.J. Osborn (along with most starters) did not play in the Vikings' second preseason game in which they lost 17-7.

Fantasy Impact

As the third WR on a team with Justin Jefferson and Adam Thielen, it is easy to overlook the 25-year-old. However, in 2021, he had more touchdowns than Brandin Cooks, Keenan Allen, Tee Higgins, and CeeDee Lamb. With Thielen playing in his age-32 season, the potential for Osborn to see increased playing time is worth a speculative flier considering he is going around No. 200 in drafts.

K.J. Osborn returns to Vikings practice

Vikings WR K.J. Osborn made his return to practice, per Andrew Krammer.

Fantasy Impact

Osborn missed some practice because of an injury, but it isn't serious and he is back at practice. Osborn seems to be a lock for the WR3 spot in Minnesota, and he could have a chance to be fantasy relevant if the team's passing game takes a step forward this year.

K.J. Osborn scores a touchdown in Week 18

K.J. Osborn hauled in 1-of-4 targets for 21 yards and a touchdown in Minnesota's season finale win against Chicago.

Fantasy Impact

Osborn finished his sophomore year with a 50/655/7 line after recording zero catches in his rookie season. He served as the No. 3 pass-catching option for most of the season, elevating to No. 2 whenever Adam Thielen was sidelined. Osborn could improve on his numbers next year, though that will hinge on the Vikings' plans for their receiving corps.
