K'Lavon Chaisson

According to Ian Rapoport of NFL Network, the Jacksonville Jaguars are declining the fifth-year option of edge rusher K'Lavon Chaisson.

After being a top-20 pick out of LSU, Chaisson has seen his playing time dwindle every season, only seeing 18% of the Jaguars' snaps in 2022. Chaisson has just 24 career pressures and exactly one sack each season. Chaisson started zero games in 2022, finding himself further buried down the depth chart as time goes on, so he may have limited opportunity to prove himself in a contract season.

The LB/DE hybrid had a great 2019 for the LSU Tigers, recording 60 tackles and 6.5 sacks. He’ll join a rebuilding Jaguars team that isn’t expected to win very many games this season. Chaisson is expected to come in and produce immediately as a starting OLB in the Jaguars 3-4 defense. Jacksonville has now signed all 12 of their 2020 draft picks.
