LB - Detroit Lions
This Week Outlook
Availability
The Detroit Lions are signing LB Kwon Alexander off the Broncos practice squad.
Fantasy Impact
The move is being made by Detroit after losing Malcolm Rodriguez to a torn ACL. He should help add depth to the Lions linebacker room.
The Denver Broncos signed LB Kwon Alexander.
Fantasy Impact
Alexander is expected to open on the practice squad. He is working his way back from an Achilles injury.
Steelers LB Kwon Alexander suffered a torn Achilles Sunday and will miss the remainder of the season.
Fantasy Impact
A massive blow for the Steelers as they lose another linebacker to a season-ending injury. The Steelers will likely add to their linebacker depth before a Week 11 game with the Browns.
The New York Jets are signing one-time Pro Bowl LB Kwon Alexander to a one-year deal.
Fantasy Impact
Alexander is entering his eighth NFL season but has seen a decrease in production since his first three seasons in the league. Alexander has struggled with injuries playing more than 12 games in a season just once. In limited snaps though, Alexander has still been a solid pass defender recently, having career stats of eight interceptions and 32 passes defended. Alexander is already familiar with the Jets' defense as well. He played under head coach Robert Saleh in San Francisco for 13 games when Saleh was the 49ers' defensive coordinator.
Free-agent LB Kwon Alexander and the Saints have agreed to a one-year deal worth up to $3 million.
Fantasy Impact
Alexander played with the Saints last season before being released in March in order to save more than $13M. Alexander was first traded to the Saints in November of 2020. He played in seven regular season games, tallying 27 tackles, before rupturing his Achilles. Re-signing him will go a long way in helping the Saints defense find depth after a long offseason of losses. Alexander remains far from the playmaker he was with Tampa Bay years ago, and until he’s seen healthy and making plays he can be left on waivers in all IDP leagues.
