QB - ATL
Week 3 Outlook
QB Kyle Lauletta has signed a deal with the Atlanta Falcons.
Lauletta was cut by the Eagles just over two weeks ago and now gets an opportunity with the Falcons. He’ll likely be competing for the 3rd string QB behind Matt Ryan and Matt Schaub.
The Philadelphia Eagles have waived QB Kyle Lauletta.
Lauletta was drafted by the New York Giants in the fourth-round of the 2018 Draft out of Richmond. After bouncing around between the Eagles practice squad and the big leagues in 2019, Lauletta is now being waived ahead of the 2020 season. That leaves just three QBs on the Eagles roster heading into the season.
Quarterback Kyle Lauletta, who was released by the New York Giants on Saturday, is signing a deal with the Philadelphia Eagles to join their practice squad, according to his agent.
Lauletta was a fourth-round draft pick a year ago, but he was not part of the long-term plays in New York after they drafted Daniel Jones in the first round a few months ago. The Eagles have three quarterbacks on their active roster in Carson Wentz, Josh McCown, and the injured Nate Sudfeld, but it's possible that only Wentz is on the roster next year.
Second-year quarterback Kyle Lauletta was released by the New York Giants on Saturday, according to NFL insider Tom Pelissero on Twitter.
Lauletta was a fourth-round draft pick last season but was on the roster bubble after the Giants selected Daniel Jones in the first round of the 2019 NFL Draft.
Giants beat writer Matt Lombardo is reporting QB Kyle Lauletta was arrested early Tuesday morning for an alleged traffic violation in Weekhawken, NJ.
Per reports, Lauletta was arrested on his way to the Giants practice facility on Tuesday morning. Per a witness, Lauletta was blatantly disobeying a police officer's orders while nearly hitting the civil serviceman with his vehicle. If Lauletta is not immediately disciplined by the league or the team, there is a chance he might make an appearance in Week 10 due to the horrendous play of Eli Manning, who has clearly lost it. The Giants have their bye in Week 9 to sort all of this out.
