Los Angeles Rams
DST - LAR
Week 7 Outlook
The Rams D/ST struggled to make much of an impact against the 49ers on Sunday night. The Rams gave up 24 points and were unable to get a sack or force a turnover.
The Rams D/ST didn't have any success getting to the quarterback on Sunday night, despite having eight sacks the week before. The rams face Chicago next week, which sounds good, but could be a trap game as the Bears' offense has started to look better recently.
The Los Angeles Rams D/ST gave up 35 points to the Bills in the team's Week 3 defeat.
LA was the first true test for Josh Allen and the Buffalo offense. However, the Rams were getting picked apart in the first half. The D ultimately tightened in the second half, but they still gave up the game-winning touchdown with under a minute to go. A better matchup with the Giants is on deck for Week 4.
The Rams D/ST intercepted Dak Prescott one time while coming up with three sacks during Sunday's Week 1 victory over the Cowboys.
The Rams' defense, anchored by Aaron Donald and Jalen Ramsey did their best to make things tough for Dallas on the night. Fortunately for those starting them, they were able to reward fantasy owners with an interception and three sacks. The Rams' D/ST certainly isn't as dominate as it once was in years past, but they remain a solid streaming option with the talent to swing a fantasy matchup on any given Sunday.
Just hours after word broke that the Rams signed former CFL kicker Lirim Hajrullahu, it is now being reported that they’re bringing in former XFL kicker Austin MacGinnis to compete for the job.
MacGinnis spent the early part of 2020 kicking for the XFL’s Dallas Renegades, going 10-10 on his field goal attempts. He’s been on an NFL roster before, but this will be his first real attempt at a starting spot in the NFL as the Rams look for a replacement for long-time kicker Greg Zuerlein.
CFL all-star kicker Lirim Hajrullahu is signing with the Los Angeles Rams.
The Rams had an opening at the kicker position after long-time kicker Greg Zuerlein left in free agency for the Cowboys. He’ll got a shot at the starting job in Los Angeles after kicking in the CFL for six seasons. Born in Kosovo, Hajrullahu and his family fled to Canada when he was nine years old. He’ll turn 30 next week.
