Fantasy Impact

Marcus Gilchrist recorded six total tackles (all solo) in the Texans' loss to the 49ers.
Fantasy Impact
Gilchrist had his second best fantasy game of the season, but unfortunately doesn't hold much fantasy value.
The Jets have cut safety Marcus Gilchrist after taking Jamal Adams and Marcus Maye in the first two rounds of the draft.
Fantasy Impact
The Jets' defense has gone through rough times over the past few years, especially at defensive back. Gilchrist has always been a decent safety, but a recent injury and a relatively hefty salary spelled doom for the former Charger. Calvin Pryor is still on the roster, though it's a real possibility the Jets start two rookie safeties, both of whom are much better against the run than against the pass.
SS Marcus Gilchrist had a busy Sunday afternoon including an interception at the goal line against Rams QB Shaun Hill to seal the victory for the Chargers.
Fantasy Impact
Gilchrist had the INT as well as 7 tackles, 5 of them solo. If you had Gilchrist as an IDP, you had a good day. Gilchrist has had a decent year so far for the Charger defensive unit.
