Week 4 Outlook
Broncos coach Sean Payton said he likes pretty much everything about Pat Surtain II.
"His physical traits [are impressive]," Payton said. "He’s long & he’s built [as a] prototype for what you’re looking for in that position. He’s got great makeup, he’s tough, he’s smart & the ball finds him. He’s got good ball skills." Surtain will look to continue his strong shutdown play in the Broncos secondary this season.
Patrick Surtain, questionable due to a shoulder injury, is expected to play, according to ESPN NFL insider Adam Schefter.
Surtain missed practice early in the week but trended in the right direction with limited and full participations to close out the week. The FantasyPros Team and Position Power Rankings have the Broncos as a Top 10 defense and secondary this week, and both of those would likely drop if Surtain were unable to play.
Pat Surtain II is being listed as questionable ahead of Sunday's game against the 49ers.
Surtain trended upwards all week, missing Wednesday's practice before logging a limited practice on Thursday and full practice on Friday. He appears to have a good chance to play Sunday night after leaving last week's game early.
Pat Surtain II missed practice Wednesday for the Broncos.
Surtain left Sunday's game against the Texans and is considered day-to-day. His status is worth monitoring on Thursday and Friday, but it sounds like it will be tough for Surtain to suit up this weekend.
