Patrick Taylor Jr.
RB - San Francisco 49ers - IR
Availability
Patrick Taylor has been placed on season-ending injured reserve after suffering a dislocated shoulder.
Fantasy Impact
The Niners can’t seem to keep any running back healthy save Christian McCaffrey. Taylor likely wasn’t going to impact much in 2025, but it’s unfortunate for the man to be out an entire season given how short some NFL careers really are.
The 49ers signed RB Patrick Taylor to a one-year contract extension.
Fantasy Impact
Taylor saw 39 carries last season. He'll remain in primarily a special teams role with the 49ers.
Patrick Taylor Jr. rushed 17 times for 109 yards in Sunday's 47-24 loss to the Arizona Cardinals. He also caught one pass for 12 yards.
Fantasy Impact
Taylor's performance showcased his potential as a lead back. With Elijah Mitchell and Christian McCaffrey potentially departing in free agency, Taylor could be a valuable fantasy asset in 2025 if he can secure the starting role.
Patrick Taylor Jr. rushed eight times for 24 yards and hauled in 1-of-5 targets for one yard in the 49ers' Week 16 loss to the Dolphins.
Fantasy Impact
Taylor failed to make much of an impact with his 13 touches. Despite the potential for a shootout in Week 17 against Detroit, Taylor will be a risky RB3/RB4 for fantasy purposes.
Patrick Taylor Jr. did not receive a touch in a 12-6 loss to the Rams in Week 15's Thursday night game.
Fantasy Impact
Taylor was a popular waiver add in the week leading up to the Thursday night game but Isaac Guerendo ended up playing through a foot sprain, leaving Taylor on the sidelines. Assuming Guerendo didn't suffer any setbacks with his foot, Taylor will not be a recommended fantasy option heading into Week 16 against the Dolphins.
