QB - CAR
This Week Outlook
Panthers QB Phillip Walker completed 5-of-14 passes for 95 yards and three interceptions in Sunday's Week 17 loss to the Saints.
The Saints had their way with both Walker and Teddy Bridgewater. The Panthers could not get going at all. The Panthers may have to think about their quarterback situation in 2021 despite being tied to Bridgewater.
Panthers QB Phillip Walker completed 24-of-34 passes for 258 yards with a touchdown and two interceptions while losing two yards on five rushing attempts in Sunday's Week 11 win over the Lions.
Walker was impressive in the win despite a few giveaways. In fact, he was better than expected for the former XFL star. Walker will get another start in Week 12 if Teddy Bridgewater can't go.
The Carolina Panthers will start PJ Walker at quarterback in Week 11 vs. the Lions in place of the injured Teddy Bridgewater.
Check back shortly for the fantasy impact.
Quarterback P.J. Walker, who was a standout star in the XFL before their season was cut short due to coronavirus concerns, has agreed to a deal with the Carolina Panthers, according to multiple reports.
The Panthers signed Teddy Bridgewater to be their starting quarterback this offseason, but it is worth noting that Walker will be reuniting with his college head coach, Matt Rhule, with the Panthers. That could give him an advantage over Bridgewater in the early going, but the latter is still likely to start given the financial commitment the Panthers made.
The Colts part ways with backup quarterback Philip Walker. This leaves Jacoby Brissett as the only healthy quarterback on the team. The Colts will have to add more depth at the position, and with the Patriots dropping Brian Hoyer, this could be an attractive landing spot for the veteran.
Now that Jacoby Prissett is the only quarterback available for Week 1, his role as the season-long starter appears to be secure.
