Week 14 Outlook
Cornerback Teddy Williams has asked for his release from the Giants as he continues to deal with a “family health issue.” It’s not yet known if the Giants will grant his request.
Williams has been excused from the last several days of training camp to tend to the matter. While he still hopes to play in 2018 and would like it to be for the Giants, he doesn’t want to tie up a spot on the 90-man roster in the meantime. Williams signed a one-year, $880,000 contract in the offseason following his release from the Panthers. He has also spent time with the Jaguars, Bears, Cardinals, Colts, and Cowboys.
Teddy Williams has been placed on season ending I.R. today with a knee injury. He was thrown into the lineup against the Saints and did have an interception but the Panthers gave up 41 points in a loss.
Carolina's pass defense is one to target moving forward. Get your Arizona WR's in your lineups.
Teddy Williams recorded six tackles against the New Orleans Saints on Sunday afternoon. He also nabbed an interception off Drew Brees in the fourth quarter.
The interception was on a pass intended for Brandin Cooks. With the injuries in the secondary for the Panthers, Teddy Williams has stepped up in the wake of injuries.
