Siemian injured his oblique in pre-game warmups last Sunday but was able to start and play through the injury. It appears the oblique is still causing Siemian problems, likely leading to Nathan Peterman being the backup against Green Bay. With Justin Fields logging a full practice, fantasy managers should expect Fields to draw the start.

During warmups last week, it was originally announced that Nathan Peterman would start after Siemian seemed injured his oblique but he went on to start. It seems he is still hampered by the injury and that will be worth monitoring with Justin Fields being limited in practice on Wednesday.

Trevor Siemian completed 14 of his 25 passes for 179 yards while getting the start with Justin Fields out. He threw a four-yard touchdown pass to Byron Pringle in the second quarter and had one interception in the 31-10 loss to the Jets. Siemian added eight yards on the ground.

After some conflicting reports during the pre-game warmups, if Siemian or Nathan Peterman would start, Siemian was able to start and play the entire game. His mediocre play has the Bears hoping that Justin Fields can return for a matchup against the Packers in Week 13. Even if Siemian does get another start, he can be left on the waiver wire.
