Week 13 Outlook
The Tennessee Titans are releasing veteran QB Trevor Siemian.
The Titans are going to roll with Brett Ratliff and Logan Woodside heading into the season behind Ryan Tannehill. Siemian is likely going to have a few options of landing spots after his release by Tennessee.
Former Broncos, Vikings, and Jets QB Trevor Siemian has signed with the Tennessee Titans.
In order to make room for Siemian, the Titans surprisingly waived seventh-round pick rookie QB Cole McDonald out of Hawaii. Siemian will compete for the backup job to starter Ryan Tannehill.
Free Agent quarterback Trevor Siemian was one of eight players who worked out for the Titans on Monday.
With Ryan Tannehill failing to play a full compliment of games since 2015 and Logan Woodside and Cole McDonald the only other quarterbacks on the roster, the Titans are looking at Siemian merely as a depth piece. DeShone Kizer also worked out for Tennessee on Monday, so it's clear they are looking for a veteran presence behind Tannehill. Siemian, who worked out for the Lions a few days ago, finished last season on injured reserve after appearing in one game with the Jets.
Trevor Siemian has been ruled out for the season due to his ankle injury suffered Week 2 against the Browns.
Siemian suffered the ugly injury Monday night against Cleveland on a hit from Myles Garrett in which his ankle was bent back in an awkward fashion. He was immediately ruled out, so it's no surprise to see he's sidelined for an extended period. With Sam Darnold continuing to deal with mono, Luke Falk is likely to be the Jets' starting quarterback for the next few weeks. You were already downgrading their wide receivers in Darnold's absence, but the team should continue to lean heavily on running back Le'Veon Bell as was on display Monday night.
Trevor Siemian exited the Jets’ Week 2 matchup in the second quarter with an apparent ankle injury.
It was an ugly injury, in which Siemian’s ankle bent behind him on a hit from Myles Garrett. He’s in the locker room with Luke Falk in the game as the starter.
