TE - LAR
Week 8 Outlook
Los Angeles Rams tight end Tyler Higbee is inactive for Monday Night Football against the Chicago Bears.
Higbee is dealing with a hand injury, but there was some hope that he would be able to play this week after practicing on a limited basis on Saturday. With Higbee out, Gerald Everett will see a major boost in snaps. He has TE1 level upside with the projected increase in snaps and targets. Everett is worth a speculative add for those in leagues where he is still lying on the wire, even for those who may not need him Monday night.
Los Angeles Rams TE Tyler Higbee (hand) is questionable to face the Chicago Bears on Monday Night Football.
Higbee did not practice this week as he continues to rehab a hand injury. Higbee is currently TE17 in FantasyPros expert rankings in Week 7 and, through six games, he's reeled in 18 catches for 222 yards and three touchdowns. However, his three scores all came in Week 2, and he has not scored over his past four games.
TE Tyler Higbee (hand) is expected to play Monday's contest against the Bears, per Rams' HC Sean McVay.
Higbee was absent from practice Friday due to a hand injury, but is expected to play Monday Night Football against the Bears. Outside his three-touchdown game in Week 2, Higbee has hauled in 10 receptions for 128 yards over four games. The 27-year-old is an unreliable TE option in fantasy and currently 17th among all tight ends in the latest expert consensus rankings.
TE Tyler Higbee (hand) was a non-participant at Thursday's practice.
Higbee is dealing with a hand injury and did not practice on Thursday. His practice level will need to be monitored throughout the week. Outside Higbee's three touchdown performance in Week 2, the Rams' TE has been unreliable this season. Higbee has hauled in 18 receptions on 21 targets for 222 yards and three touchdowns over six games in 2020.
Tyler Higbee brought in 3-of-4 targets for 56 yards during the Rams' Week 6 loss to the 49ers' on Sunday.
While this was no impressive performance, it looks a lot better than his production over the last two games. Higbee was able to lead the Rams' in receiving on a night where the 49ers' dominated time of possession, though he and Gerald Everett each received four targets. Higbee has essentially been a bust ever since his three touchdown explosion in Week 2 and fantasy managers will have to decide if he is worth starting ahead of a tough matchup against Chicago.
