Week 6 Outlook
Van Jefferson caught six passes for 90 yards and a touchdown in the Rams 37-20 loss on Sunday against Arizona.
Jefferson was tied for second with three other players in targets, but took advantage of those six targets including a 14-yard touchdown reception late in the first quarter. This really limits the upside of Robert Woods from a fantasy football perspective if Jefferson continues to see this type of involvement.
Van Jefferson caught 1-of-3 targets for 14 yards in the Rams' Week 2 win over the Colts.
Jefferson caught a deep touchdown in Week 1, but Indy's defense didn't let him slip through for any big gains on Sunday. Jefferson has just six targets through two games, which makes him difficult to roster in most fantasy formats.
Van Jefferson caught 6-of-7 targets for 46 yards and a touchdown in a 32-18 divisional round loss to the Packers.
Jefferson's two best games both came down the stretch. In Week 17, he saw eight targets, and against the Packers in the playoffs saw seven targets and turned that into 46 yards and a score. Jefferson is a solid dynasty stash, but this Rams offense still runs through Cam Akers, Robert Woods, and Cooper Kupp until further notice.
Van Jefferson caught 4-of-8 targets for 50 yards during the Rams 18-7 win over the Cardinals in Week 17.
Jefferson led the team in targets but was outproduced by Cam Akers. Clearly a talented receiver, Jefferson should see an increase in opportunities heading into the next season. It will be interesting to see how involved he is during the NFC Wildcard game against the Seahawks on Saturday.
Van Jefferson failed to haul in his lone target during the Rams' 20-23 loss to the Jets in Week 15.
As is the case with Josh Reynolds (2 catches), there simply isn't enough volume in this passing game anymore to support a third or fourth receiver. Jefferson has seen an increased role towards the later part of the season but it's not translating to fantasy. He's not a recommended option heading into Week 16.
