Vic Beasley comes up big with his first sack

Vic Beasley racked up one tackle and one sack during Sunday’s 24-20 win over the Eagles.

Fantasy Impact

Beasley is off to a slow start this season. He finished the 2018 season with 20 total tackles and five sacks. Beasley can be left on waivers in most IDP leagues.

Vic Beasley records second and third sack on season in Week 11 loss

Atlanta defensive end Bic Beasly had his best game of the season in the loss at home to Dallas Sunday. He recorded five combined tackles and managed two sacks in the contest.

Fantasy Impact

For IDP owners this is depressing. Beasley was slated by most to return to his 2016 fantasy football form switching back to the defensive end position when he recorded fifteen and a half sacks. This being his third on the season only caps off where his owners may be right now on his IDP value for the rest of the season.

Vic Beasley records first sack of the season in Week 3 loss

In the loss at home versus New Orleans Sunday, defensive end Vic Beasley recorded his first sack and recorded two solo tackles.

Fantasy Impact

Beasley has not returned to his upper tier form at defensive end from 2016 as of yet. He has been a disappointment thus far this season. But maybe this is a sign he is about to emerge as a force like he was in 2016 and recorded fifteen sacks.

Vic Beasley defensive end conversion official

Vic Beasley is officially listed as a defensive end after spending 2017 listed as a linebacker on Atlanta's first unofficial depth chart.

Fantasy Impact

Beasley's IDP owner should benefit from the change to a defensive end as long as the fantasy sites have also changed his designated position. If listed as a DE, Beasley should return to form with the IDP production he was able to produce in 2016. In that breakout season, he registered 43 combined tackles along with 15.5 sacks. He was well on his way to becoming a top option as a defensive end for fantasy football purposes. That progress was hampered in 2017 when Atlanta was forced to move Beasley to the strong side linebacker position due to depth chart issues.

Vic Beasley fifth-year option picked up by Atlanta

Atlanta has already exercised their fifth-year option for 2019 on defensive end Vic Beasley.

Fantasy Impact

Earlier it had been stated that Beasley would return full time to the defensive end position in 2018. His IDP owners may enjoy a season like 2016 when he was Atlanta's sack leader and among the best in sacks in the NFL.
