WR - MIN
With Stefon Diggs being traded to the Buffalo Bills, Thielen has an incredible opportunity in front of him right now. While Justin Jefferson will take away some targets, Thielen's in line for a huge season. As long as he can stay healthy, he'll be a borderline WR1 all year.
If he stays healthy, I think he could lead the league in targets. Up.
Hard to view MIN passing game and not expect massive target share for Thielen if he can stay healthy - played 16 games 5 straight seasons before 6 DNPs in 2019
Coming off a year in which he played just 10 games while dealing with back issues, many are down on Thielen. You must remember he posted back-to-back 1,200-plus yard seasons before 2019. Not just that, but with the teams forced to stay away from camps, Kirk Cousins won't have much time to develop chemistry with any of the other receivers, so Thielen should be a target monster. He should have a bounceback season.
Adam Thielen is a fake value and that entire Vikings offense is going to be a mess post-Diggs. Don't bet on age 30 bounceback years from injury at a top 4 round price. @FF_RyanB
Thielen ended up missing 6 games due to injury and he finished with 424 yards from scrimmage and 7 touchdowns. He should rebound from that with a healthy 2020 season, but he is more of a low-end WR2 or high-end WR3 in an offense that features RB Dalvin Cook.
The Vikings went from 6th to 30th in attempts following the firing of Defilipo and promotion of Kevin Stefansky. Cousins thrived in the new system, ranking 9th in play action pass attempts. Thielen has seen a steady decline in targets dating all the way back to last year when Dalvin Cook returned from injury and the OC changes were made. Injuries have been an issue as well.
