It's amazing how elite receivers can maintain production even in the worst-case scenarios. With Sam Darnold going down with a hip injury early last week, Drew Lock was thrown into the mix. After a massive run-after-the-catch touchdown, JSN finished with eight receptions, 122 yards, and a score. Without Darnold, his upside definitely takes a hit; however, he is basically guaranteed to see double-digit targets and eat up yards. This offense runs through JSN, and they now face a Cardinals defense that stunned the Chargers. Considering the Cardinals were not projected to be a good football team, I lean that their win was more on the Chargers floundering than the Cardinals defense being elite. As a result, JSN is ranked as high as you can for any receiver relying on their backup QB.
