Deadrin Senat impressive for second straight preseason contestThe overall game reports were again glowing ones for rookie defensive tackle/nose tackle Deadrin Senat out of South Florida. From breaking up screen pass plays to run stopping and keeping the pressure on the quarterback. Senat has kept up making his mark on the defensive line and retained his level of play these first two preseason contests. It looks like head coach Dan Quin has again snift out another big man in the draft worthy enough to do more than just help fill the hole left by letting Dontari Poe walk and sign with Carolina.
Fantasy Impact
The Atlanta Falcons just may have added another IDP target for defensive lineman owners to consider. But Senat's output might be capped when they get to the regular season games and all the NFL teams have things ramped up with the best possible players on the field for the entire contests. With names like Vic Beasley, Grady Jarrett, Brooks Reed, and Takkarist McKinley (shoulder) among the starting unit it, the rookie will have to stand out, even more, to produce at a level worthy of IDP production to have rostered. Traditionally his role with the defensive unit would be as a gap filler. It remains to be seen if he can take that role and make plays beyond what is considered normal.
