DeMarcus Lawrence possibly mulling retirementDeMarcus Lawrence, a key piece on defense for the Super Bowl champion Seattle Seahawks, has reportedly not committed to playing in 2026 and has not, as of yet, informed the Seahawks of his plans.
Fantasy Impact
After missing much of the 2024 season with a Lisfranc injury, Seattle took a chance on the 12-year veteran and signed Lawrence to a three-year, $32.5 million contract. He rewarded the Seahawks by earning Pro Bowl honors after finishing with 53 tackles, 11 tackles for a loss, six sacks, three forced fumbles, three fumble recoveries, and two defensive touchdowns in 16 games during the regular season. He added seven tackles, two sacks, three tackles for a loss, and three forced fumbles in three postseason games. Lawrence, who spent 11 of his 12 seasons with Dallas, has 67.5 career sacks in 157 games. It would be a significant loss for the Seahawks if Lawrence decided to walk away.
