CB - DAL
Expert NoteView More Notes
Overall, a still raw, but promising, corner prospect. Long, tall, and fast, Diggs has all the tools you look for when building a CB. He's best when working in zone coverage and struggles with some of the subtle nuances with man coverage. Due to his wide receiver background, he has an advanced knowledge of route concepts. This can be his benefit and his Achilles heel all at the same time. He's so eager to jump in front of a route that he recognizes that he leaves other spots open in his zone. However, there was marketable improvement on that throughout this year and it worked in his favor a few times and he came away with an interception. Great ball skills and is able to haul in some tough catches due to his background. An interesting developmental type prospect that could pay off big for the NFL team that takes him.

Trevon Diggs selected No. 51 by Dallas Cowboys
The Dallas Cowboys have selected cornerback Trevon Diggs with the No. 51 overall pick in the 2020 NFL Draft.
The Dallas Cowboys passed on the cornerback position in the first round, but are still able to land a corner who was high on their board in Trevon Diggs. The younger brother of Buffalo Bills wide receiver Stefon Diggs, Trevon is a former receiver himself who flashes great hands for the cornerback position. He is battle tested due to coming from the SEC, and should be a day one starter as a rookie.
