Spears had 3-12-0 rushing and 2-12-0 receiving on four targets in the Titans' 23-10 loss to the Jets. But Spears played only one fewer snap than Titans presumed lead back Tony Pollard, and ran 17 routes while Pollard ran eight. This is more of a split backfield than some fantasy managers believe.
That said, the Titans' offense could be hot garbage juice this season — and it certainly was in Week 1, generating only 10 points and 195 total yards.
Still, Spears could be a worthwhile depth piece.

Fantasy Impact
Spears operated behind Tony Pollard, who had eight touches. It was not a great day for the Tennessee run game, as the Titans were playing from behind for the entire game. Spears at least drew an encouraging number of targets in the passing attack. He will be a low-end flex option heading into Week 2 against the Eagles.
