| Derek Brown FantasyPros | Daniel Jones' monster 2025 season was derailed by a fractured fibula (Week 12) and then a season-ending ruptured Achilles (Week 14). In Weeks 1-10, when Jones was healthy, among 37 qualifying quarterbacks, he ranked fourth in yards per attempt, 15th in adjusted completion rate, ninth in highly accurate throw rate, and 17th in hero throw rate (per Fantasy Points Data). During that stretch, he was the QB9 in fantasy points per game, contributing 14.3 rushing yards per game (five rushing touchdowns). Jones did fall off in his final three games played last year, which could be the league catching up to the Colts' offense, or it could also be injuries taking a toll on him. We'll see how well Jones bounces back from the Achilles this year and, with a full offseason to review the Colts' offense, if NFL defenses are better prepared for them. Jones is still a decent QB2/late round flier to take in 2026 for fantasy (especially Superflex formats). | |
| Pat Fitzmaurice FantasyPros | Although he tore his Achilles in early December, Daniels Jones says he expects to be 100% ready for Week 1 of 2026. Through the first 10 weeks of the 2025 season, Jones looked like an MVP candidate while guiding the Colts to an 8-2 start. He completed 69.9% of his passes over those first 10 games, averaged 8.3 yards per pass attempt, threw 15 TD passes and seven interceptions, and added five rushing touchdowns. Jones was QB5 in fantasy scoring over that stretch. But then Jones fractured his fibula, costing him some mobility and limiting his effectiveness as a passer, before the late-season Achilles tear. It's encouraging that Jones is upbeat about his recovery, but mobility is a big part of his game (both in real life and fantasy), and it's fair to wonder whether Jones will have anything close to his usual mobility. Jones has also been notoriously turnover-prone during his career. Monitor Jones' recovery closely in the run-up to the 2026 season. | |
