Mika Zibanejad could be a guy to look for at the center position this fantasy season. This off-season the Rangers “signed restricted free agent forward Mika Zibanejad to a five-year, $26.75 million contract extension.” Sbnation.com reports (Rangers on Twitter)

Fantasy Impact:

This off season the Rangers lost Derek Stepan to free agency making Mika Zibanejad the new top center in New York. Before his injury last season, which limited him to 56 games. Mika Zibanejad was on pace to set a career high in points. The loss of Stepan sets Mika Zibanejad up to be a potential high end second center for fantasy teams this season. Mika Zibanejad's face-off winning ability will also increase his fantasy value.
