Neal Pionk with a late assist Tuesday

Neal Pionk earned his 17th assist of the season as his shot from the point eventually found Brendan Smith out in front to bury a last second goal in the third period to cut the deficit to 3-2 against Detroit.
Fantasy Impact:
Like for so many players on New York's defense this year, it has been a rough go for Pionk. He has a minus-12 rating along with six goals and 17 helpers through 64 games played this season. Pionk is only 23 and there is still the hope that he could potentially one day in the future become a very valuable member for this team. Fantasy managers should keep an eye on this young prospect as he continues to develop in the early stages of his career.
