Patrice Bergeron adds goal for Bruins on Tuesday

by Peter Gustavson | Bruins Correspondent | Wed, Apr 24th 1:29pm EDT

Patrice Bergeron scored an empty-net-goal at 19:59 of the third period during Boston’s 5-1 Game 7 win over the Maple Leafs.

Fantasy Impact:

Bergeron just barely snuck this one in before time expired. The perennial Selke nominee closes the series with three goals, two assists, and five total points and remains one of the most underrated players in hockey. Though Bergeron’s 79 points in 2018-2019 marked a new career high, the two-way forward’s career contributions tend to have a more sizable impact in real life versus fantasy. Nevertheless, it is plausible we see a continuation of Bergeron’s offensive renaissance next season.
