Goaltender Petr Mrazek (lower-body injury) is considered day-to-day after sustaining an injury during the second period of Carolina’s Game 2 win over the New York Islanders on Sunday. It is unclear if he will be able to play in Game 3. (NHL.com)
Fantasy Impact:
Carolina backup Curtis McElhinney filled in admirably for Mrazek to close out Game 2, making 17 saves on 17 shots faced, though he was bailed out by the crossbar on a couple golden scoring opportunities for the Islanders. If Mrazek were to miss further time, it would certainly provide an additional challenge for a Carolina lineup that is already riddled with injuries.
