The Winnipeg Jets announced on Friday September 13th that they have granted Dustin Byfuglien a personal leave of absence from the team. No timeline for his return has been announced. (Sara Orlesky on Twitter)
This is a wait and see scenario with Byfuglien. As always, the Jets are tight-lipped about what is going on, stating only that the issue is not related to Byfuglien's health. Assuming Byfuglien returns to the team prior to opening night, he should assume his place on the Jets top powerplay unit as well as log 25-30 minutes a night.
