Brendan Lemieux (hand) has been removed from injured reserve

The Rangers have removed forward Brendan Lemieux from the injured reserve list. He is hoping to be back out there at some point soon, although head coach David Quinn does not plan to start him in Sunday's match against the Columbus Blue Jackets. (NY Post)

Fantasy Impact:

Lemieux has not played since Dec. 27 when he broke his hand while blocking a shot against the Carolina Hurricanes. David Quinn has expressed that he really likes his current third line combo consisting of Brett Howden, Filip Chytil and Kaapo Kakko. It will be interesting to see how they can find a way to work Lemieux back into the lineup after nearly missing a month of action.
