Darcy Kuemper gets back on track beating St. Louis

by Jeremy Farr | Capitals Correspondent | Wed, Apr 27th 12:27am EDT

Darcy Kuemper turned away 28 of 31 shots for a .903 save percentage on Tuesday night, backstopping the Avalanche to a 5-3 home-win over the St. Louis Blues.

Fantasy Impact:

There we go. The win snaps the Avalanche out of a season-long, four-game losing streak. The last time they dropped three in a row was way back in October when STL, WSH and FLA bested them, 5-3, 6-3 and 4-1. O'Reilly struck twice late in the third period to bring it within one but Kadri cashed in on the open net for the insurance goal. The win moves Kuemper to 36-12-0-3 with a 2.51 GAA and .922 save percentage. Look for Pavel Francouz to fill in at least one of the remaining two starts.
