Bowen Byram hammers in short-handed goal

Bowen Byram filled up the stat sheet on Friday as the Avalanche fell 3-2 to the visiting Seattle Kraken. He tallied a goal, an assist, a plus-2 rating, two PIMs, two shots, two hits and two blocks.
Fantasy Impact:
The goal came from a 3-on-1 that was created on the penalty kill by some hard Logan O'Connor board play to get the puck over the blue line. Valeri Nichushkin skated with the puck and found a late-trailing Byram who fired it from the top of the circle and banked it off the post past Philipp Grubauer. Byram now has two goals and four points through the first five games and is looking like a nice pick for fantasy managers defensive corps early in the season.
