Claude Giroux beats Lundqvist for the winning shootout goal

by Julius Bzozowski | Senators Correspondent | Sun, Oct 25th 12:52am EDT

Philadelphia Flyers C Claude Giroux did not officially record a point on Saturday night versus the New York Rangers, but he did help his team pick up a point in the 3-2 shootout victory. The Flyers converted two of their three shootout attempts, while the Rangers only converted one. (NHL.com)

Fantasy Impact:

Giroux, who shot second for Philadelphia in the shootout, followed teammate Sam Gagner's goal with a goal of his own. He was able to get one by New York Rangers G Henrik Lundqvist after an absolutely filthy move. Giroux's shootout goal ended up being the game-winner, as Flyers G Steve Mason denied Rangers C Dominic Moore on the Rangers' third shootout attempt to win it.
