Alex Ovechkin gets 10 shots in his Capitals preseason debut

Ovechkin made his preseason debut with the Capitals after playing for Russia in the World Cup of Hockey 2016. He recorded 10 shots in 22:09 of ice time but did not record a point in the Capitals 2-1 shootout win versus St. Louis.

Last season he posted 50 goals, 21 assists and a plus-21 rating in 79 games. He looks hungry once again in an attempt to lead Washington towards an elusive Stanley Cup Championship.
