Clayton Keller injured in win

Clayton Keller suffered a scary injury on Wednesday and had to be stretchered off the ice.

Fantasy Impact

Clayton Keller took a nasty spill into the boards late in the 3rd period against the San Jose Sharks. The injury does not look good and it appears Keller could miss an extended period of time. The 23-year-old is having an incredible season and was on pace for a career year. Keller is leading the Coyotes in scoring by 15 with 63 points (28 goals, 35 assists) in 67 games. If the fifth year winger does miss an extended period of time it will certainly be a blow to managers that roster him.

Clayton Keller keeps rolling

Keller was fed a gorgeous backhanded pass from Travis Boyd, who logs his 12th assist, after a takeaway from Jan Rutta. The pass allowed Keller to shoot an off-speed shot right under Brian Elliot’s legs to make it a one-goal game at the 9:54 mark of the third period. The left-winger also had an assist to Alex Galchenyuk at the end of the first period, giving him two points on the evening.

Fantasy Impact

You can always count on Keller from a fantasy perspective. The goal puts him at 18 on the year, and the assist puts him at 23. He has three points since the break.
