RW - COL
Mikko Rantanen was Colorado's top dog in scoring for the 2021 56-game season. He picked up the slack when the Avs needed him to and rewarded his fantasy managers with a solid 66 points. He also racked up a plus-30, 34 PIM, 24 powerplay points, 177 SOG, 26 hits and 20 blocks. Keep in mind when you're drafting next year that he doesn't produce very much in peripheral stats like hits and blocks which limits his upside in some leagues. Look for him to be drafted in the middle to late 2nd round next year.

The goal was well played by both him and Nathan Mackinnon as he made an immediate spin move off the face off draw and saw Rantanen cruising through the slot. He sent it in front, Rantanen took it off his skate, shook the stick checks and found the 7-hole on Ryan Miller. He has 40 points to date.
