Mikko Rantanen scored the seventh of seven in Colorado's 7-1 win over the Arizona Coyotes on Monday. He finished the game with a goal, an assist, a plus-1 rating and four shots.
The goal came late in the third when the game was well out of reach for Arizona. Eric Johnson teed one up from the point and Rantanen got his stick on it for the re-direct. That's his third goal and eighth point of the 2020 post season.
Mikko Rantanen was spotted on the ice in Wednesday's skate before they took on the New York Rangers whom they defeated 3-2.
A step in the right direction for the Avalanche winger who is no doubt missed by his team and fantasy owners. It's possible he returns for Colorado's home stand but they certainly aren't going to rush him back until he's ready to go. He's been sidelined since February 17th.
Mikko Rantanen was tripped up during the game vs. the Tampa Bay Lightning and crashed into the boards. He was slow to get to his skates and immediately left the ice. It's reported that he will out for 6-8 weeks to recover.
A disaster from both the fantasy and real-life perspective. Rantanen is a key component in Colorado's system and there will no doubt be a big hole to fill. The Avalanche have overcome injuries this year however as they lost both Gabriel Landeskog and Mikko Rantanen for extended periods. This should give Andre Burakovsky or Valeri Nichushkin a chance to step up and pick up the slack.
Mikko Rantanen potted his 19th of the season in Colorado's 3-2 home loss to the Washington Capitals on Thursday. He totaled a goal, a minus-1 rating, three shots and one block.
Rantanen made a move off the side boards and fired off a wrist shot that beat Braden Holtby on the glove-side top shelf. It gave the Avalanche a 2-1 lead but watched it disintegrate due to a PPG and one late in the game. He's up to 19 goals and 36 points on the season.
Mikko Rantanen scored the sixth of six goals in Colorado's 6-1 win over the hosting Buffalo Sabres on Tuesday night. He finished the game with a goal, a plus-1 rating and one shot.
Mackinnon found open ice down the middle on the offensive break out. It developed into a 2-on-1 and Rantanen took the feed, fired it off the post and in short side. He's scored 17 so far this year along with 19 helpers along the way.
