Fantasy Impact
His first goal came on the PP. Girard shot wide but he bashed the puck from behind the net and banked it off the Ducks netminder for the goal. His second was a seeing-eye shot that made it through many bodies and went in. He's up to 12 goals and 24 points so far this season and is an excellent fantasy option on the wing.
Mikko Rantanen tallied a pair of helpers in Colorado's 6-2 road win over the Arizona Coyotes. He finished the game with two points, a plus-1 rating, and three shots.
Fantasy Impact
Rantanen's first assist came off a wrist shot on net and Avs captain Gabriel Landeskog cleaned it up for the goal. His second was a feed to Tyson Jost who wristed one in from the slot. Rantanen is at eight goals and 16 points going into March. He has plenty of upside in most categories except for hits and blocks. Look for his stats to get a nice bump with Colorado seeing 17 games in the up coming month.

The goal came on the power play as Mackinnon dipsy-doodled around defenders and back handed a feed to Rantanen who promptly fired it just between the glove and post. Rantanen is off to a solid start this year (6 goals, 2 assists) point wise but is lacking in the hits and blocks department.
Mikko Rantanen buried his fifth goal of the season on Sunday night but wasn't enough as the Avs fell 3-1 vs Anaheim. He scored a goal and registered four shots through 22:41 TOI.
Fantasy Impact
Rantanen was lurking around the front of the net and found a fortunate rebound off of Nathan Mackinnon's shot. He promptly put it past John Gibson for his fifth of the year but would be the only goal of the game for the Avalanche who are now 3-3. Rantanen has been producing in the goal department and see's plenty of opportunity to score so the points will be there but he only has two hits and three blocks through six games. If that trend continues his value can be faded a bit in leagues that track those categories.

The goal came late in the third when the game was well out of reach for Arizona. Eric Johnson teed one up from the point and Rantanen got his stick on it for the re-direct. That's his third goal and eighth point of the 2020 post season.
