View More NewsIlya Sorokin strong in crease Friday against Capitals
Ilya Sorokin was strong in the crease for the Islanders Friday night, stopping 22 of 23 shots faced in a 3-1 win over the Capitals.
Fantasy Impact
Sorokin has been dismal in net to begin the season, allowing three or more goals in seven of eight starts (3-4-1) for the Islanders. The 30-year-old will hope Friday night's effort was the turning point needed to return as a difference-making netminding option for fantasy managers despite playing behind an inconsistent New York lineup to this point.
