Le’Veon Bell will look to rebound against the Chiefs this week

Week 7 is here and there are some more great matchups to analyze. There are four teams on the bye (Green Bay, Denver, Cincinnati and Chicago) and an early kickoff in London on Sunday between the Bills and the Jaguars. Let’s go ahead and take a look at my Week 7 recommendations.

Tournament Lineup

Quarterback

Andrew Luck (IND) – vs. NO
Luck missed two games with a shoulder injury before returning to action last Sunday night against the Patriots. He looked great in his return throwing for 312 yards, three touchdowns while adding 35 yards with his legs. Since it appears that he is finally healthy, I believe we will see more stat lines like last Sunday (and 2014) opposed to the ones he posted earlier in this season.

Running Back

Todd Gurley (HOU) – vs. CLE
Gurley has established himself as the lead running back in the Rams’ offense over the last few weeks. The rookie running back is currently averaging 5.7 yards per carry and has a great matchup against the Browns, who allow the fifth-most Draftpot points to running backs this season.

Adrian Peterson (MIN) – at DET
Peterson has had a rollercoaster 2015 season so far. This week he has a great matchup against a Lions’ defense that is no longer good against the run. In Week 2 of this season, Peterson carved up the Lions for 134 rushing yards.

Wide Receiver

DeAndre Hopkins (HOU) – at MIA
Hopkins has emerged as an elite wide receiver in the league and has a good matchup against the Dolphins this week. Through six weeks of the NFL season, Hopkins is averaging 14.8 targets per game. Every week he is capable of putting up double-digit receptions, triple-digit receiving yards and multiple scores.

Julio Jones (ATL) – at TEN
Jones has been quiet over the last few weeks, which in large part has been due to a nagging hamstring injury that he has been playing through. Look for him to have a huge game against the Titans after having 10 days off since the Falcons’ last game.

T.Y. Hilton (IND) – vs. NO
Hilton has yet to have a big game in 2015, but that could all change with a great matchup against the Saints this week. He makes for a great stack with Luck in a game that should be high scoring.

Tight End

Antonio Gates (SD) – vs. OAK
Since coming off of a four-game suspension, Gates has been targeted 27 times in two games. This week he has a great matchup against the Raiders, who have allowed the most points against tight ends this season. Keep an eye on his injury status, though, as he is currently listed as questionable with a knee injury.

Flex

Larry Fitzgerald (ARI) – vs. BAL
Fitzgerald has had some huge games in 2015, and he could have another big one on Monday night against the Raven, who have allowed the second-most Draftpot points to wide receivers this season.

Calvin Johnson (DET) – vs. MIN
Megatron finally had a big game last week totaling 166 yards, on nine targets and six receptions while adding a touchdown. I expect more big games from Johnson going forward since the hard part of the Lions’ schedule is out of the way.

Defense/Special Teams

St. Louis Rams vs. CLE
The Rams typically play great defense at home, and I’m not buying into Josh McCown continuing to do well.

Kicker

Chandler Catanzaro (ARI) – vs. BAL
The Cardinals are expected to put up a ton of points on Monday night against the Ravens, and most people will probably be using Gostkowski in their tournament lineups. Look for Catanzaro to be a player to separate you from the pack.

Cash Lineup

Quarterback

Tom Brady (NE) – vs. NYJ
Tom Brady has thrown at least 275 yards and two touchdowns in each of the Patriots’ first five games this season. I expect more of the same this week against his division rival.

Running Back

Devonta Freeman (ATL) – at TEN
Freeman is playing at a ridiculous level right now. Over the past four weeks, Freeman has totaled 462 rushing yards, 25 receptions, 233 receiving yards and nine touchdowns.

Le’Veon Bell (PIT) – at KC
Bell had a poor game last week against a good Cardinals’ run defense. Look for the elite running to bounce back in an easier matchup with the Chiefs.

Wide Receiver

DeAndre Hopkins (HOU) – at MIA
Hopkins has been the most targeted wide receiver and has also scored the most Draftpot points for wide receivers this season. Expect this trend to continue since Hoyer has no other reliable passing options in this Texans’ offense.

Larry Fitzgerald (ARI) – vs. BAL
Fitzgerald continues to put up good numbers in 2015. Look for him to have another good game against a bad Ravens’ pass defense.

Odell Beckham Jr. (NYG) – vs. DAL
On Monday night, Beckham was only targeted one time in the second half and eight times in the entire game. I expect Beckham to see a lot more targets than that this week, since the only points the Giants scored were on their first drive of the night.

Tight End

Rob Gronkowski (NE) – vs. NYJ
This portion of my recommendations might as well be written in stone. Gronk is the best tight end in the league, and it would be foolish not to use him in your cash game lineups each week.

Flex

Todd Gurley (STL) – vs. CLE
Gurley has seen his usage increase each of the last few weeks and has a great matchup against a terrible Browns’ rushing defense.

Brandon Marshall (NYJ) – at NE
Marshall has had at least nine receptions and 101 receiving yards in each of the last four games for the Jets. He has also scored in three out of the last four games.

Defense/Special Teams

Arizona Cardinals – vs. BAL
The Cardinals have scored the most Draftpot points of the defenses playing on either Sunday or Monday night. They have a great matchup at home against Joe Flacco, who has been turnover prone this season.

Kicker

Stephen Gostkowski (NE) vs. NYJ
Gostkowski is an accurate kicker on a team with a powerful offense, making him the safest play at the position each week.
