Jonathan Singleton released by Astros

The Houston Astros have released first baseman Jonathan Singleton. (Chandler Rome on Twitter)
Fantasy Impact:
Singleton is most known for signing a five year, $10 million contract before ever having played a MLB game. The Astros were of course trying to get a discount on the former top prospect, but it never worked out. Singleton hit .171 in 420 plate appearances at the big league level during his time with the Astros.
