James Pazos lets two runs score on two errant pitches

by Sam Marchant | Wed, May 30th 11:24pm EDT

James Pazos relieved Felix Hernandez in the sixth inning on Tuesday night against the Rangers and inherited the bases loaded. After one run scored on a wild pitch and another on a passed ball, Pazos struck out Rougned Odor before giving up a single to allow Hernandez's fifth earned run to cross the plate.

Fantasy Impact:

Pazos allowed three runs to score while striking out one batter and giving up one hit, all while only throwing five pitches. Even though his WHIP barely ticked up to 0.88 on the season and his ERA dropped to 1.40, this was one of Pazos' worst outings of the month (and Felix Hernandez can attest to that). He is still averaging more than one strikeout per inning and continues to be one of the Mariners' go-to relievers.
