Cubs interested in Miguel Montero

It is no secret the Cubs want to upgrade at the catching position this off season. After losing out in signing Russell Martin, the Cubs have turned their attention to Miguel Monetero. Sources believe the Cubs have made offers to the Diamondbacks to acquire Montero's services. (Chicago Tribune)
Fantasy Impact:
Montero would bring another needed left handed bat to a predominantly right handed lineup. He would also be an upgrade defensively over Wellington Castillo, especially when it comes to framing pitches. Only a .243 hitter last season, Montero is only two years removed from a .286, 15 home run and 88 RBI season. Maybe a change of scenery would help return Montero to his pre-2013 numbers, when he was a top 5 catching option in fantasy.
