Dodgers signing LHP Brett Anderson

by Stan Son | Mon, Dec 15th 7:15pm EST

Multiple reports have the Dodgers signing LHP Brett Anderson to a 1 year $10 million deal. He would essentially replace Dan Haren and give the Dodgers 3 lefties in their starting rotation: Kershaw, Ryu, and Anderson. (Bill Plunkett on Twitter)

Fantasy Impact:

Anderson is only 26 years old but has been injured the past 4 seasons. He had Tommy John surgery in 2011 and back surgery last year. When healthy, he was one of the bright young stars as he hurled a perfect game in 2009 and broke the Oakland A's single-season rookie strikeout record. He could be a late round steal if he can stay healthy. He's going to pitcher- friendly Chavez Ravine, Rick Honeycutt is an excellent coach, Yasmani Grandal is one of the best pitch framers, and he will be around Clayton Kershaw.
