Scott Baker joins crowd of Yankees options

The Yankees signed Scott Baker to a minor league deal on Friday that could vest to a $1.5 contract if he makes the major league club. (Twitter)
Fantasy Impact:
Baker is not flashy, but his career 2.1 BB/9 and five seasons with an ERA+ of 100 or better was enough for the Yankees to give him a chance. Baker has only made 28 MLB appearances since 2011 and has not pitched well at Yankee Stadium in his career, a 6.39 ERA in three appearances. It would be stretch for Baker to make the team out of Spring Training, but he could provide veteran depth in the minor leagues if an injury were to occur.
